Dog Supplies
Along the walk I found one dog bag dispenser however they are black plastic bags, not the green corn based environmental ones found in other locations. I suggest bringing your own bags. You can buy biodegradable dog poo bags here. There are bins along the way to dispose of dog poo.
There was one dog water bowl along the walk near the beach. You can tip the water out and refill it as quite a bit of sand collects at the bottom of it. Consider bringing a dog travel water bottle like this one here if your dog gets thirsty at other locations along the way.

Curl Curl Lagoon to Freshwater Walk Directions
- Park your car on Abbott Road. Walk through John Fisher Park, up the middle of the netball courts (your dog must be on leash if sport is being played) towards a footbridge over Curl Curl lagoon. Turn left onto a walk/cycle track and head towards the beach. Your dog can be off leash here but be aware that there is a busy road at the end of the track.
- Cross Griffin Parade and enter Flora & Ritchie Roberts reserve. This is a hilly off-leash area. Walk along the path next to the beach until you reach the South Curl Curl Surf Club. Be aware that your dog is not allowed on the beach.
- Continue along the path until you reach South Curl Curl Rockpool. There is a sign saying no dogs allowed. Follow it’s directions to a staircase situated behind the toilets and showers. Climb the stairs into a carpark.
- At the end of the car park is the boardwalk. Walk to the end until you reach a set of stairs that take you outside the Harbord Diggers.
