As a cross breed dog, Cavachons come in a wide range of coat colors from solid coats to complex multi-colored markings. They can inherit their coat color from either parent breed – the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel or the Bichon Frise. Cavalier King Charles come in four officially recognized AKC coat colors including blenheim, black & tan, black & white and ruby. Bichon Frises also come in four officially recognized coat color including white, white & apricot, white & buff and white & cream.

Apricot Cavachon

Apricot Cavachons have very pale red coats with peachy undertones. The body of their coats are usually almost a cream color while their ears are a much darker apricot color. They usually have black noses and dark brown eyes. Apricot is one of the most common Cavachon coat colors and is one of the most popular. Apricot Cavachons are usually created by breeding a White & Apricot Bichon Frise with a Ruby or Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Black and White Cavachon

Black and White Cavachons feature a mainly white coat with black patches on their back, head and muzzle. Usually they have black ears and black patches around their eyes that stretch around to their ears. Their eyes are black and their noses are black as well. Black and White Cavachons are created by breeding a White Bichon Frise with a Black and White Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Tricolor Cavachon

Tricolor Cavachon coats feature black, white and tan. They feature a mainly white body with black patches on their backs, ears and around their eyes. They then have very small tan patches either around their eyes or above their eyes, giving them the appearance of eyebrows. Tricolor Cavachons are quite common.

Brown Cavachon is another name for an Apricot Cavachon as they have light brown coats with peachy undertones. They usually have black noses and dark brown eyes. They may also feature a small white patch on their chest.

Blenheim Cavachon

Blenheim Cavachons feature an apricot and white coat. Their body is mainly white and they feature apricot patches on their ears, around their eyes and on their body. Usually the apricot patches are extremely pale and appear to be cream in color. Blenheim Cavachons inherit this coat color from the Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

White Cavachon

White Cavachons feature a solid pure white coat that may have cream highlights on the tips of their ears. They usually have dark brown almost black eyes and black noses. Red Cavachon

Red Cavachons have a medium or dark red coat with a small white patch on their chest. They have dark brown eyes and dark brown or black noses. Red Cavachons are very rare as the coat color can only be inherited from a Ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Sable Cavachon

Sable Cavachons have hairs that are black-tipped with roots in a lighter solid color. The sable hairs cover most of their body and they usually have a white patches on their chest, muzzle and paws. Sable Cavachons usually feature very large white patches on their chest and legs and smaller sable patches on their back, ears and around their eyes. Sable Cavachons are quite rare.
