F1b Cavapoo Size

The size of an F1b Cavapoo depends upon the size of Poodle that the F1 Cavapoo was bred with as well as the size of Poodle the F1 Cavapoo was cross-backed to. It can be hard to predict the size of an F1b Cavapoo but they generally follow the same weight range of the F1 Cavapoos except with a slightly leaner and taller build.

F1b Teacup Cavapoo

An F1b Teacup Cavapoo gets to about 8 to 10 inches tall (20.3cm to 25.4cm) and weighs between 8 and 15 pounds (3.6kg to 6.8kg). They are one of the smallest Cavapoo sizes. You can also get F1b Micro Cavapoos which are slightly smaller however they are extremely rare.

F1b Toy Cavapoo

F1b Toy Cavapoos are roughly 12 inches tall (30.5cm) and weigh 13 to 25 pounds (5.8kg to 11.3kg). They are slightly bigger than a F1b Teacup Cavapoo and slightly smaller than a F1b Miniature Cavapoo.

F1b Mini Cavapoo

F1b Mini Cavapoos get to about 12 to 16 inches (30cm to 40cm) tall at the shoulder and weigh 20 to 30 pounds (9.1kg to 13.6kg) when fully grown. They are slightly taller and heavier than an F1b Toy Cavapoo.

F1b Standard Cavapoo

A fully grown F1b Standard Cavapoo will get to about 18 inches tall (45.7cm) and will weigh 25 to 40 pounds (11.3kg to 18.2kg). They are slightly bigger than Miniature Cavapoos.

F1b Cavapoo Temperament

F1b Cavapoos have a very friendly and affectionate temperament. They love spending time with the family whether that is snuggling up on the couch to watch TV or participating in a game of sport. They are very cuddly but also very playful breed. F1b Cavapoos are quite intelligent due to their Poodle genes which means that they pick up new tricks and commands quickly. They are also very eager to impress their owners which motivates them to learn new things.

As F1b Cavapoos are more Poodle than Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, sometimes their temperament and personality is more like a Poodle than a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. However, there are many other factors that influence temperament besides genetics such as environment.

F1b Cavapoo Shedding

Are F1b Cavapoos Hypoallergenic?

Yes, F1b Cavapoos are considered to be a hypoallergenic breed. In fact, they are even more hypoallergenic than F1 Cavapoos as they inherit their hypoallergenic nature from the Poodle. F1b Cavapoos are hypoallergenic because they only release a minimal amount of dander (dead skin cells) into their surroundings when they shed and they don’t shed much to start with.

Do F1b Cavapoos Shed?

F1b Cavapoos do not shed much. They are classified as a non to light shedding breed. In comparison to F1 Cavapoos, F1b Cavapoos shed even less. This is because F1b Cavapoos have a higher percentage of Poodle genes and Poodles hardly shed at all.

The best way to reduce the amount that your dog sheds is to regularly brush them. Slicker brushes are great for dogs with single coats and deshedding tools are great for dogs with double coats.

F1b Cavapoo Coat Colors

Red F1b Cavapoo

Red F1b Cavapoos have a red colored coat that can range from light to dark red. There are many names for Red F1b Cavapoos. They are sometimes called “Ruby Cavapoos” because the red shade of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is called “ruby”. Red Cavapoos are also commonly referred to as Fox Red F1b Cavapoos, Deep Red F1b Cavapoos or Dark Red F1b Cavapoos.

Apricot F1b Cavapoo

An Apricot F1b Cavapoo has a very light red coat that has a peachy tone. Apricot F1b Cavapoos are produced by breeding an Apricot Poodle with a Red or Apricot F1 Cavapoo. Some of the puppies in the litter will be apricot while others will be red.

Apricot F1b Cavapoos can fade if they inherit the “fading gene” from their Poodle parent. This is likely to happen as Apricot coloring comes from the Poodle side. Apricot Cavapoos usually fade to a cream or lighter Apricot shade and these changes will occur within the first two years of life.

Black F1b Cavapoo

There are two main types of Black F1b Cavapoos: solid black and bi-colored black coats. Solid black as suggested by the name are fully black with no other colors. Bi-colored coats can be black with patches of other colors. Black coloring arises from recessive gene so not many F1b Cavapoos have this coloring. Bi-colored black coats are more common than solid black coats.

Black & White F1b Cavapoo

Most Black and White F1b Cavapoos are parti-colored however some are considered to be mismarked with white. A Black and White Parti Cavapoo has a mainly white coat with black patches while a mismarked one has a small white patch on it’s paws or chest. Mismarked Black and White Cavapoos fall under the category of bi-colored coats.

Black & Tan F1b Cavapoo

Black and Tan F1b Cavapoos are also called Phantom Cavapoos as they have a two toned coat where the secondary color (tan) is in specific locations. Black & Tan F1b Cavapoos have tan patches on their muzzle, chin, throat, chest, legs, above their eyes and beneath their tail. These patches characterise the Black & Tan F1b Cavapoo as Phantom rather than Parti or Bi-Color.
